{"id":2191,"date":"2016-05-23T05:07:08","date_gmt":"2016-05-23T05:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/5riversinternational.org\/?page_id=2191"},"modified":"2016-08-30T20:16:37","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T20:16:37","slug":"no-one-wants-to-come-here","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/5riversinternational.org\/?page_id=2191","title":{"rendered":"No One Wants To Come Here"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>We sat in a classroom that had become the home for Ajit, Jayanti and their two sons.\u00a0 Ajit spoke softly, sharing his story. <em>\u201cWe came here as missionaries two years ago.\u00a0 For years I asked my pastor for his blessing to come here but he always refused, but finally he gave us his blessing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/5riversinternational.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Screenshot_2015-06-26-15-25-01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-2190 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/5riversinternational.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Screenshot_2015-06-26-15-25-01-300x169.png\" alt=\"Screenshot_2015-06-26-15-25-01\" width=\"390\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a>Our team had come to Leh, in Northeastern Kashmir.\u00a0 A very remote mountainous region which is isolated from the rest of the world for 6-8 months each year as the two mountain passes fill with snow blocking off all supplies and trade goods coming in or out. The population is 200,000, mostly Buddhist, with less than 300 Christians.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>\u201cWhen I arrived here I met with a motorcycle accident.\u00a0 I broke both my wrists and my shoulder\u201d <\/em>Ajit continued.<em> \u201cI was in great pain and required surgery but I was not able to go to the hospital in Delhi.\u00a0 It was 4 months before I had surgery. My shoulder is still not healed and is in pain.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>\u201cThis is a very difficult place to live and minister.\u00a0 If the Buddhist knew we were here to convert people to Christ they would do great harm to us.\u00a0 We minister by becoming friends with them and one at a time we share Christ.\u00a0 It has been 2 years and no one has come to Christ yet.\u00a0 We have suffered much but this is what God has called us to.\u00a0 We will be faithful.\u00a0 No matter what we suffer we will not leave this place.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Then Ajit looked at me closely.\u00a0 <em>\u201cWhy have you come here?\u00a0 No one wants to come to this place.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The electricity had gone out and we sat in the warm glow of a small lamp. I looked at this beautiful family that had given so much.\u00a0 The love of God for them filled my heart. <em>\u201cJesus wants to come here.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 I said.\u00a0 <em>\u201cJesus sent us here to let you know you are not forgotten.\u00a0 You are not isolated. You are not alone.\u00a0 And as a sign of His faithful love He will heal your shoulder.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>We began to worship and His Presence filled the room.\u00a0 Then we prayed. <em>\u201cThe pain is gone!\u201d<\/em> Ajit exclaimed as he was swinging his arm in a windmill motion.\u00a0 <em>\u201cThis is the first time in two years that there has been no pain.\u201d<\/em> We laughed.\u00a0 We wept.\u00a0 We rejoiced at the love of the Father being demonstrated.
